Hi, I'm Rainer. I create software for people working with data.

I specialize in the design of tools that help people explore, analyze and manage data more easily. I am passionate about maps, and in many of my projects, I have dealt with spatial or cartographic data.

I am also the maintainer of the Annotorious and Recogito Text Annotator open source libraries for image and text annotation, and the former lead developer of the award-winning and song-inspiring Recogito annotation platform.
